You, the Leader!
You and us are called upon to lead every day of our lives. However, leading, interesting as it is for many and at times a near addiction, comes with incredible challenges. These challenges make ‘leading-effectively’ difficult, but not impossible. How can leaders be effective at their work?
Strategy
Effective organisations can be looked at from the lens of a modern vehicle – it has many parts, some of them moving and others static. Every part of a vehicles’ system has a role it plays. Yet, all vehicle parts have been put together in a system, to deliver a certain: amount of horsepower, comfort, and to a specific niche like 4×4 off road, town-runner, heavy goods career, etc. It is the latter elements that defined what parts, moving and non-moving, that form the whole-vehicle. Strategy is the art of defining the type of vehicle and what it offers to the buyer, and putting together all its parts to meet the offer. Strategy is a fascinating art, whose success depends on the effectiveness of leaders
Design
Design is the glue that ties together the vision as defined by the organisation’s Leader. Strategic intent, as well as the Human-resources, bring the tactics and skills needed to realise the vision. However, without effective Design – Strategy, People, and Leadership, will not create wealth for the organisation.
People
We fundamentally believe that the most important asset for any organisation (including family) is its people (staff). Organisations that get the best out of people shall get ahead of the others in the race for productivity and effectiveness.
